It seems that the almighty is showering best of its blessings on the Noida residents. Soon after the full-fledged run by Magenta Line Metro, Noida-Greater Noida Metro is all set to starts its operation in a next few months.

The authorities have planned two links on this route; one will be from Okhla Bird Sanctuary Metro Station on Magenta Line to Sector 142 and another would be from Sector 71 to Gaur Chowk in Greater Noida West.
Both Noida and Greater Noida authorities will collaborate together to work on this metro project. Greater Noida West Metro will feature 9 metro stations and the stretch from Sector 71 to Knowledge Park will be 14.15km long. As per the sources, all the metro stations on Greater Noida West Metro Line will be fully elevated.
The cost of the construction work on the first line is expected to cross over ₹3880 Crores whereas the construction cost of the second line is evaluated at 2127 Crores. After its development, Greater Noida West Metro Line is likely to ferry around 1.20 lakh passengers on a daily basis.
What Authority Said:
Debashish Panda, Chief Executive Officer, Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority said, “We are working to extend the current capacity of Noida Metro up to Greater Noida West and we have already prepared a report for the same. We are in constant touch with the Noida Metro Rail Cooperation. Once the construction of Greater Noida West Metro Line is completed, it will resolve most of the connectivity issues between Greater Noida West and Noida.”
There are more than 200 builder projects in Greater Noida West that will accommodate about two to three lakh families in the coming years.
On the other hand, Alok Tandon, who is Chairman in Noida-Greater Noida Authority said, “In the upcoming years, Greater Noida West Metro will play a crucial role in easing the traffic situation of the area. Apart from that, with on-going real estate developments, more residents are looking to make this area a place to buy residential properties, hence Greater Noida West Metro route is the need of the hour.”
