There are two links planned on this route by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA). The first one will be from Sector 71 to Gaur Chowk in Greater Noida West while the other one will start from Okhla Bird Sanctuary Metro Station on Magenta Line and will end at Sector 142.

9 metro stations are planned on Greater Noida West Metro Line and the entire stretch from Sector 71 to Knowledge Park Metro Station will be a little over 14 km. If the buzz in the town is believed, Greater Noida West Metro Line is going to be fully elevated.

Population of Greater Noida West

Initially, Greater Noida West was popular as Noida Extension. In fact, many still know it by this name only. The entire region constitutes of 16 villages having a population of 1,07,676 people in 2011 Census. Being a realty hotspot, there is around 3.5 lakh inventory that is either under-construction or would be completed in the next couple of years which will be occupied by over 2 lakh home buyers. After these apartments are fully occupied, the population in this region would rise up to 5 lakhs.
