The trials on a section of Noida-Greater Noida Aqua Line Metro has been started. If everything goes well, we can expect the full-fledged operation to begin by the end of April.

The wait is about to over soon as Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has conducted its first trial on Noida-Greater Noida Aqua Line Metro on Tuesday, 2nd January 2018. Initially, the trials on Aqua Line Metro will run on a stretch of 6 km and will continue for the next 2 months. The full-fledged trials on the entire corridor are expected to begin from the month of March.

After a brief ritual ceremony, Delhi Metro Managing Director, Mangu Singh, flagged off the first trial run of Noida-Greater Noida Aqua Line Metro in presence of Alok Tandon, Managing Director, Noida Metro Rail Corporation. Those who are unaware, Aqua Line Metro is a 29.7-km upcoming metro corridor that will commence its operation from Noida Sector 71 Metro Station and Delta Depot Station in Greater Noida. This Noida-Greater Noida Aqua Line Metro will work as a bridge to connect Noida with Greater Noida.

There are 21 metro stations on Aqua Line Metro that will pass via sectors like Sector 50, 81, 137, 142, Knowledge Park, Pari Chowk, Alpha and Delta. The coaches for Noida-Greater Noida Metro are being delivered by CRRC Nanjing Corporation Limited, a Chinese-origin company and have a seating capacity of 186 passengers. Much to the delight for those who are waiting to begin the operation of Aqua Line Metro, 95% of the construction work has been done and finishing work for the same is running on a full pace.

This is not it, the 65% of the tracks have already been laid down for Aqua Line and 60% of mechanical and electrical work has been done so far. If everything is done on time, without any delay, the Noida-Greater Noida Aqua Line Metro will begin its operation by the end of April 2018.

Rise in Demand for Residential and Commercial Real Estate

On the one side, the capital gain for the commercial spaces at Sector 15, 16, 18, 27, 60, 62 and 63 are increasing day-by-day, while despite the low rentals, the companies are restricting themselves to invest on the commercial spaces around Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. The reason cited can be, lack of proper connectivity of this part from other regions of the Noida and Delhi. But, with the commencement of Noida-Greater Noida Metro project, the things will change dramatically. Owing to low rentals, a lot of people will come in this region to make investments in the commercial segment.

Same is the case with the sector 44, 45, 93, 94, 96, 97, 98, 105, 132, 144 and 155 that are situated next to Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. The Noida-Greater Noida Aqua Line Metro will not only provide connectivity in this region but will also develop a trust factor among the homebuyers. The Aqua Line will bring opportunities and many reasons for investors as well as for home lookers to cheers.
